In 2018, Kenya had its very first journalist bag that award. He was none other than Waihiga Mwaura. This year, it turns out that the country produces yet another winner, who is also a colleague of Waihiga, Victoria Rubadiri. Before them, there have been four other non-Kenyan winners, namely Nancy Kacungira, Didi Akinyelure, Amina Yuguda, and Solomon Serwanjja.
